As parents, we have faced unprecedented challenges over the past three years due to the pandemic restrictions and the renovation of the Blaisedell. During this uncertain time, we were unsure if our children would have the opportunity to participate in the 2023 Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition.

However, we want to express our deepest gratitude and mahalo to our Na Kumu of Hawaii. They have tirelessly fought to put on this event for Summer 2023, recognizing the importance of keeping our traditions alive for generations to come. Their dedication and passion have given our children a chance to showcase their talents and immerse themselves in the beauty of hula.

Our incredible children, who are part of an esteemed halau, have been given the remarkable opportunity to represent the beautiful island of Maui at the 2023 Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition, July 26th, 27th & 28th. This event will be held at the Bringham Young University – Hawaii Cannon Activities Center in Laie, Oahu.

Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances and the limited time frame, we find ourselves facing a significant challenge. We do not have the usual amount of time necessary to fundraise and secure the financial support required to ensure our children's participation at the highest level.

That's why we are reaching out to our community, friends, and family with an urgent request for assistance. We humbly ask for your support in helping us raise the necessary funds to cover the expenses associated with our children's participation in this prestigious event.
