Hey everyone, Elde's daughter here. On Wednesday morning, September 28th, my dad went into the emergency room with chest pain. They admitted him overnight, and his angiogram revealed the arteries pumping blood to his heart are too damaged to put stents in. He is going in for emergency quintuple bypass open heart surgery tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 7 AM PST at West Hills Hospital in California. My dad is an amazing piano tuner but still lives paycheck to paycheck even with a full client list. The road to recovery from a surgery as massive as this one is going to be a very very long one. I am not in a place financially to provide around-the-clock care so I am reaching out for help. Donations will go towards medical bills like in-home nursing assistance, post-surgery rehabilitation therapy, monthly mortgage payments, and the many other bills that come with life (car payments, electric, gas, groceries, etc).
My dad is the kindest, funniest, strongest person I know and would be far too embarrassed to ever make himself one of these. Lucky for him, he has a daughter who wants this journey to be as stress-free as possible...ha ha ha. He's got a big heart, and I'm so excited for him to begin healing it. He is of course terrified but has also managed to make friends with all the nurses and staff at the hospital, cracking jokes left and right. What he is most concerned about throughout all this is making sure his backyard birds and squirrels are fed while he is away, and that I can do! I know he is going to get through this. We appreciate any and all contributions, no matter how big or small. PRAYERS TOO!!!! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
