Papa Don’s Fire Relief

Hi friends and family, our dear Papa Don lost his home and everything in it in a house fire early this afternoon. Fortunately, he was not in the home when this happened, but both of his precious dogs were inside and only one made it out. She is currently at the vet now and it is still too early to know if she will make a full recovery.

Nothing can bring back all that was lost, but as a family and community we can come together to ease the financial burden ahead while he navigates through this unexpected tragedy.

For those who don't know Don Tamez, he is a native of Waxahachie but has lived in Red Oak where all his kids attended high school. All of his kid's friends (and now his grandkids) simply call him "Papa Don." He is a kind soul and wouldn't feel comfortable accepting help - but his family and friends created this GFM as the least we could do, being that all he was able to salvage were the clothes on his back.
