I’ve never created a GoFundMe account before, but this one hits home. Shannon, and her Mother Veronica (who we all know as Roni) has been a second family to me since I was a little girl. Anyone who knew Roni, knew she was EVERYONE’S momma. If it were up to her, you always had a plate of food. You always had a place to sleep. You were loved. You were laughing, and she was the light.

What began as a sudden medical emergency has turned into an unimaginable loss that no one was prepared for. Her daughter Shannon, her son, her husband, and close family friends have been by her side doing their best to stay strong while facing this difficult reality.

Shannon is having to make the decision to remove life support, something no child should ever have to face. The emotional toll this has taken on her and her family is something no words can express.

As they prepare to honor Roni’s final wishes, it has become incredibly difficult trying to navigate the overwhelming tasks of handling arrangements and expenses. In moments like this, no one should have to face such a heavy financial burden.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help ease that weight, by supporting funeral costs, cremation, and allowing her family time to mourn the loss of Veronica without the added stress.
