My name is Karen Fernandez, on behalf of my husband Peter Fernandez a loving husband, father and grandfather who has battled with severe pneumonia for the past 4 months and improving is now having to fight another battle. CANCER! Fighting one battle but now another. Through love, prayers and his will to live we saw a light at the end of the road. However, little did we know that the road is now longer and harder. CANCER, such a terrible disease and for all the people who have gone through it, know it is physically, emotionally and especially financially devastating. You work hard all your life, pay your insurance only to find out when you need it, it is not much help. Now Pete will fight both these diseases with everything he has, as his family fights to keep everything we have worked so hard for all our lives.
