Hi! We're Totti (Paolo's sister) and Sara (a childhood friend of Paolo's) and we've created this fundraiser to give Paolo a hand after his land was destroyed by fire.

Since 2019, he's been living on his land in Portugal, transforming it from a pine monoculture into a diverse forest. His vision has been to create a place that not only regenerates the land but also provides food for those who care for it, and serves as a base and learning space for nomads to explore how to live in harmony with their ecosystems.

Over time, the land became more than just a project — it was a home, a place of learning, and a space where many people were welcomed with openness and generosity.

Last month, a fire destroyed almost everything Paolo had built — his home, his work, and all his belongings. What took years to create disappeared in hours. Thankfully no one was physically hurt, thanks also to the brave work of the firefighters who managed to contain the fire before it spread further. With winter approaching, it will be impossible for Paolo to stay on the land as it freezes there and not much is left to provide shelter.

Paolo now faces the challenge of starting over. While the legal process is ongoing, what he needs most right now is support: to cover his basic needs in the coming months and to begin regaining stability.
