Ciao a tutti, sono Paolo Ercoli e finalmente dopo anni riesco a finire e forse pubblicare il mio CD, che mi ha tenuto impegnato per più di due anni. Dico forse, perché per farlo ho bisogno anche del vostro aiuto finanziario.
Creare, pensare, produrre un cd da soli, al giorno d'oggi è un' impresa ardua. Non avendo un management, una casa discografica, un etichetta che mi supporta, ho dovuto fare-pensare-chiedere-registrare-inventare-imparare, e soprattutto aspettare, da solo.
Aspettare anche a causa della situazione Covid che stiamo vivendo, e anche perché in questo CD ci suonano veramente tante persone, tanti musicisti sia italiani che stranieri. Tante persone mi hanno dato una mano nel far crescere e sviluppare tutte le mie idee, le mie canzoni originali, i miei pensieri musicali, molti di essi sono miei eroi e miti che seguivo sin da quando ho mosso i primi passi con il mio strumento, la chitarra dobro squareneck.
Sono soddisfatto e contentissimo di aver avuto la possibilità di suonare con tutti questi Artisti, uno in particolare che è colui che mi ha fatto innamorare di questo strumento, che è Jerry Douglas. Jerry ha suonato con qualsiasi famoso musicista che vi viene in mente, da Paul Simon a James Taylor a Eric Clapton, e sono onoratissimo di aver duettato con lui in una delle canzoni di questo CD.
Non è l'unico dei miei miti ed eroi del dobro e di questa musica in generale, ci sono molti personaggi famosi per questo tipo di musica che si cimentano nei vari brani da me composti, trovate tutti i nomi e cognomi (a parte quelli di una canzone, perché voglio tenervi questa sorpresa) nel video di presentazione che vi ho preparato.
In questo CD c'è musica di ogni genere per cui prima o poi una canzone che vi piacerà, la troverete :-)
Country, Bluegrass, Strumentale, Meditativa, Folk, Rock, Jazz, Acoustic-Funk.
Metà di queste composizioni sono originali, scritte da me.
Ho una canzone in cui ci sono 12 diversi cantanti, questa è una piccola sorpresa che scoprirete voi stessi.
Inutile dirvi che il lavoro è stato mastodontico, non facile e non economico, un po' per la mole di lavoro che queste canzoni hanno comportato (saranno 13 o 14 brani) e un po' per tutto quello che si è dovuto fare, sia per registrare, ore in studio di registrazione, mixaggio, masterizzazione, compensi per i musicisti e altro che ancora deve venire, come lo stampaggio degli stessi CD e altro ancora.
Quindi, per poter far si che tutta avvenga, sono a chiedervi un vostro aiuto, anche minimo, finanziario, in modo da darmi la possibilità di poter terminare il progetto. So che molti di voi mi seguono e vorrebbero sentire finalmente il prodotto finito, ed io sono uno di questi, come voi. Non vedo l'ora di averlo fra le mani e poterlo sentire comodamente dovunque, pensando felicemente e in maniera soddisfatta a tutto lo sforzo e passione che il CD ha richiesto.
Ripeto, le persone che hanno suonato per questo CD sono tantissime, vi invito a guardare il video, vi ruberà solo poco più di 5 minuti, per rendervi conto dei personaggi che mi hanno aiutato.
Ovviamente tutti quelli che vorranno aiutarmi riceveranno una copia del Cd, e magari qualcos'altro che cercheremo di capire non appena tutto sarà più delineato.

Hi everyone, I'm Paolo Ercoli and finally after years I can finish and maybe publish my CD, which has kept me busy for more than two years. I say maybe, because I also need your financial help to do that. Creating, thinking, producing a CD by yourself is a difficult task nowadays. Not having a management, a record company, a label that supports me, I had to make me think, ask, record, invent, learn, and above all wait, alone.
To wait also because of the Covid situation we are experiencing, and also because in this CD there are really many people, many Italian and foreign musicians. Many people have given me a hand in growing and developing all my ideas, my original songs, my musical thoughts, Many of them are my heroes and myths that I have followed since I took the first steps with my instrument, the dobro squareneck guitar. I am satisfied and delighted to have had the opportunity to play with all these Artists, one in particular who is the one for whom I fell in love with this instrument, which is Jerry Douglas. Jerry has played with every famous musician you can think of, from Paul Simon to James Taylor to Eric Clapton, and I am so honored to have duet with him on one of the songs on this CD.
He is not the only one of my myths and heroes of dobro and of this music in general, there are many famous people for this type of music who try their hand at the various songs composed by me, you can find all the names in the presentation video that I have prepared.
In this CD there is music of all kinds so sooner or later a song that you will like, you will find it :-)

Needless to tell you that the work was enormous, not easy and not cheap, a bit for the amount of work that these songs involved (it will be 13 or 14 songs) and a bit for everything that had to be done, both to record, studio hours recording, mirage, mastering, musicians' fees and more that are yet to come, such as stamping the CDs themselves and more.
So, in order to make everything happen, I am asking for your help, even if minimal, financially, in order to give me the possibility of being able to finish the project. I know that many of you follow me and would like to finally hear the finished product, and I am one of them, like you. I can't wait to have it in my hands and be able to hear it comfortably anywhere, thinking happily and happily about all the effort and passion that the CD has required.
I repeat, the people who have played for this CD are so many, I invite you to watch the video, it will only steal you a little more than 5 minutes, to realize the characters who have helped me.
Obviously all those who want to help me will receive a copy of the CD, and maybe something else that we will try to understand as soon as everything is more outlined.
