Hi! I’m Joni. Ever since I was little, I loved to be outside hiking, running, dancing, golfing, biking and many more things. I love nature and the ability that my body has to do so many capable things. A few years ago I started experiencing pain with hiking, walking, running and just weight bearing. I have recently been diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia with a torn labrum and degenerative cartilage and am needing surgery on both hips. Unfortunately, my insurance has denied short term disability coverage and I will be unable to work for 2 months. I will be paying for surgery, hospital stay, medical equipment, imaging, office visits, and physical therapy. I have surgery on one hip and then 6 months later can do my other hip. It will be a long and hard recovery and I am grateful for any help I can get at this time. Thank you.
