Help Support Yvonne in her Fight Against Cancer

If you know Yvonne, you know she’s nothing short of a real-life Wonder Woman. She’s an extraordinary mother, a dedicated and compassionate friend, a gifted teacher, and someone whose presence lights up every room she enters. Yvonne has always been there for those around her—and now it’s our turn to be there for her.

As many of you may know, Yvonne is currently battling nasopharyngeal carcinoma, an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her medical team in Nevada was initially unable to determine the cause of her painful and debilitating symptoms, which prompted her to seek further evaluation at USC Hospital in Los Angeles. There, she was finally able to receive an accurate diagnosis and a comprehensive treatment plan from some of the most specialized physicians in the country. Fortunately, Yvonne is now in the care of an exceptional medical team, and her doctors are optimistic about a smooth course of treatment and recovery.

However, the road ahead is challenging. This July, Yvonne will return to Los Angeles for her third trip, where she will need to remain for at least 6 to 8 weeks to undergo intensive daily treatments. While insurance covers part of her medical care, there are still many out-of-pocket costs—temporary housing in LA, uncovered medical expenses, and day-to-day living costs during treatment.
