Panthers for Panels

We are parents, students, teachers, and residents of the Wallingford Swarthmore School District, who are concerned about climate change. We want to take the first step towards reducing our dependency on fossil fuels by privately raising the funds to purchase and install solar panels on our snack bar, the Panther Pit.  The money will be used to install 23 panels on the roof and provide interactive ground level educational as well. There will be no cost to the school district. The power generated by the panels will offset power drawn from PECO, thereby lowering the district's utility bill. Our goal is to raise the money, and install the panels in time to run the snack bar on solar power for the 2019 football season. We have the full support and encouragement of the school board. For more information and the history of how we got started go to the WSSD Sustainability Committee page If you would prefer to donate by check, the Foundation for Wallingford Swarthmore Schools is acting as our fiduciary.  Please make your check out to Panthers for Panels c/o The Foundation for Wallingford Swarthmore Schools.
