Our small town of Washougal has suffered a devastating loss on Monday June 29th, 2026.
Grant Johnson jr. passed away at the very young age of 18. Grant was a 2026 graduate of Washougal High School 2 weeks prior. He was a local kid from an amazing family, born and raised here. One of the key players on the Panthers varsity football team, he was well loved and widely respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Kind and generous, he was a shining example of the type of child a parent strives to raise.
Polite, caring, gracious, and thoughtful, everyone who knew him abosolutely loved being a part of his life. Unfortunately,
Grant came down with an advanced form of a bacterial infection that spread faster then what doctors could control.
Grant passed away after a few short hard fought days battling the infection. He leaves behind his mom Tiffany, step dad Joey, brother Sam and dad Grant Sr. As well as several grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
All funds raised will go towards the cost of the service and several weeks of unpaid leave to process the loss of their son. As well as any unpaid medical bills not covered.
