My name is Erica and I'm a LMHS band parent and volunteer. One of our own, a LMHS Marching Band student, needs your prayers and support. Dani was admitted to Children's Hospital on Saturday night after two concerning lumps appeared on her neck. She had a CT Scan revealed that she had more masses in her chest. She will be in the hospital until she has a PET Scan and biopsy.

One mass in the center of her chest is especially worrisome because of its position near her airway. They also discovered Danielle had a blood clot, but they can't treat it yet to avoid complicating the biopsy. The doctors are suspecting it may be a form on lymphoma, but the family won't have a firm diagnosis until after all of the tests are complete.

Danielle was supposed to join the LMHS Marching Band in Disney World over Spring Break while the band performs in the Magic Kingdom parade. The band only takes this trip once every 4 years, so this was Danielle's only opportunity to go. Her trip has been paid in full, but unfortunately the travel company won't refund her trip because like many families, they didn't pay for the travel insurance. We have begged and pleaded with the travel company to refund her, explaining the extenuating circumstances, and they refused. Danielle's family is hurting and they could use this trip money for medical bills.

Our hearts are broken for this sweet girl. Dani is a freshman, an all A and honors student, and so bright, talented, and full of joy. She's one of the kindest, beautiful souls around and our hearts are broken seeing her face this.
