Fundraising for Pannapat's last term at school

You have my deepest gratitude just to read my story.

Hello, my name is Pannapat Chanpaisaeng. My home country is Thailand. I came to the U.S. as a sponsored student but unfortunately, I have lost my government scholarship since January 2023 and need to finish the degree on my personal funding and really struggling. I'm currently a master's student at Oregon State University. I have one more term (3 months) to complete my degree and graduate. I study computer science and focus on human-computer interaction. My research is about how we can design technology interfaces to be more inclusive. My last bit of project at school is about finding a correlation between socioeconomic status and people's cognitive problem-solving styles.

I'm fundraising for the tuition for my last term, cost of living and a flight ticket back home in July after I graduate. I hope to graduate and go back to my country and teach computer science. I do not love the machine side of the computer science field but I am passionate about the human side of the system. It's fascinating to learn how humans think and learn when they interact with technology.

I also enjoy hiking and visiting places. I'm more than grateful to have an opportunity to come to this country and expand my horizon. I have learned so many academic, social, and personal skill sets that I would not have if I did not step out of my comfort zone and travelled across the world to the U.S. I have met new people and adjusted to a new culture. I have made a lot of friends and part of that helps me grow spiritually as well.
