Pandora has been with me for the past 8 years. She's the sweetest little chatty cat I've ever known. Recently, she started vomiting daily, which led to a visit with her regular vet, which led to a trip the emergency hospital where I work (NCSU) to get an ultrasound. That's when we discovered that Pandora had a liver mass and some thickening in her intestine. That was last week.
Over the past weekend, she quit wanting to eat and made 2 more trips to the ER, where she was eventually kept overnight and then transferred to oncology. We met with oncology today and decided that surgery was the best route to treating the liver mass and finding out what's happening in her intestines. Even with my employee discount, we've already paid 2 months of my take-home pay for our girl and will need even more for chemo after surgery.
We're asking that instead of donating to a honey-fund for our wedding or buying us gifts, we'd prefer donations to her treatment and care. The bulk of the honeymoon is paid for and we've been fortunate to have help with funding from family for the wedding. So this is really what we need to keep our family whole and happy right now. Every little bit helps us help Pandora.
Thank you,
Kim
