Help Kevin Ashlock Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Those who know Kevin, can always count on him for a good time. You'd know he is passionate about life, family, friends, work, and fishing but most importantly you'd know he's a kind and selfless person who is always willing to lend a hand while expecting nothing in return. Unfortunately after months of mysterious pain, and multiple trips to doctors desperate for answers, a CT scan revealed a growth on his pancreas which was diagnosed as pancreatic cancer. October 2021 further testing showed the cancer had spread to other organs. He would require an immediate aggressive treatment plan that includes several rounds of chemo before undergoing a complicated operation which involves removal of the head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine, the common bile duct, occasionally a small portion of the stomach and sections of nearby blood vessels. Recovery will take months. Surgery was planned to take place in February 2022 but has been postponed to allow time for Kevin to recover from covid pneumonia. Anyone who knows Kevin knows that he is the most generous person and would do anything to help someone. On behalf of Kevin, we are kindly and humbly asking for your help. He is faced with a tough fight ahead, this news is shocking beyond words and leaves a loss for answers. Kevin has had no income since October 2021, due to the side effects of chemo making it unbearable for him to work anymore. Cancer treatment, while lifesaving and miraculous, adds additional stress due to the astronomical cost. Even with the best of insurance plans, the cost of living, travel and the bills that pile up while unable to work are staggering! Our hope and prayer is that those of us who know Kevin and even strangers who don't will come together to help to ease this burden off him. A little bit from everyone, added together, will make a massive difference for him. On behalf of the Kevin Ashlock family, our sincere thanks for your support during this difficult time.
All financial contributions will go directly to Kevin to pay for out of pocket costs associated with treatment, post surgery supplies and care, monthly expenses like rent and utilities, and daily expenses such as gas and groceries.
