This year, The World Transformed will be taking place in Manchester for the first time, between 9-12 October. Two anniversaries are framing the internationalist and anti-imperialist politics of the festival this year: two years since October 7th, and 80 years since the Fifth Pan African Congress, which took place in Manchester in 1945 between October 15-21. At a time of heightened anti-imperialist struggle globally, we believe it is a core priority that we can platform speakers and voices from those struggles across our programme.
As part of this stream, we have been working with the following partners to organise a delegation from live struggles across the African continent, to participate in our sessions, both those which directly touch upon elements of Pan African and Anti-imperialist struggle, and wider issues such as climate repair, left electoral strategy and reparations.

We are looking to raise the funding for the travel cost of these delegates to bring them to Manchester for this important anniversary, so that they might fully participate in the discussions. We and our partners on this believe that this project will have great political significance, in properly marking the anniversary of PAC5, developing internationalist links, and anti-colonial politics in Britain and on the continent.
We estimate the cost to be around £800-1000 per head, so are looking to raise within the region of £6400-8000. All donations and pledges to this effort would be appreciated.
Time is of the essence. We are aiming to hit this target before August 29th so that we have enough time to secure visas.
