Pam's Service Dog Fund

Hi my name is Pam Sweny. I was born with birth defects of my hands and feet. Although I was faced with many challenges, I did not let the lack of five fingers hold me back.
    Last year all of that changed. The main knuckle/joint on my right hand wore out. I had two bone fusion surgeries and a titanium plate with screws put in.That left me with the use of the tip of my index finger and thumb on my right hand. On my left hand, the middle finger joint is half worn out.
    Because I'm only 57, my hand surgeon recommended I get a service dog to help me preserve what I have left.
     My service dog will come trained to carry shopping bags for me, open doors,retrieve items, and so much more. The dog I'm currently working with is a standard poodle named Jeremiah. He is absolutely amazing!
