Pam's Stage 4 Lung Cancer Battle, NON-SMOKER , Radon ?

Hi,

My Wife Pam who is 56, and we have been married for 36 years, went to the Emergency Room on March 4th for a Headache that she had for many days, and to our surprise was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer with spread to the brain and liver. Pam was not a smoker, she is only 56 years old and has 3 grown children, and 3 young Grandchildren. She is a loving and kind person who is staying strong in the face of this recent diagnoses. I am raising money to help her in this fight, she has insurance, with a large deductible, but in truth the money is desperately needed for copays and travel, and time away, as a self-employed couple we will be away from our business, already it is having a devastating impact on our day to day, as the economy already had us tight, this was something that we were not prepared for. Our goal is to spend more quality time together as she fights hard, it's also to be able to buy items to support a radical 360 degree change in diet and travel to treatments and such. Being self-employed we don't usually get time off, but I will be by her side through the fight and financially it will almost break us, so any help is appreciated, but even more important are your prayers, as we will not break spiritually. Update March 5th: immediately digging into research on lung cancer, one thing stood out, Radon, to my dismay I found that our state of Pennsylvania is one of the most active with Radon with an estimated 40% of households having unsafe levels and our zip code where we have been living for 24 years being even worse than that. we are currently getting advanced testing done and will need to install a system to deal with it if needed. if a clear link is found, I will do my best to break the obvious silence on this serious issue, at least here in my area of PA.

Update 4/9: Pam is still in the Hospital as they took a biopsy of her liver to better understand the Cancer and formulate a treatment plan.
