We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Pam Ruge, who has recently undergone a life-saving double lung transplant. Pam's family is excited to share that the surgery went extremely well, and she is on the road to recovery. Her new lungs are working perfectly, and she is making daily progress towards reaching the goals needed to go home. This incredible milestone will be filled with hope, healing, and precious time to spend with friends and family, but will also come with significant challenges—both physically and financially.

Pam will require frequent follow-up appointments, ongoing tests, and monitoring as she recovers. The costs associated with travel to and from medical visits, gas, vehicle maintenance, medications, and specialized care quickly add up. In addition, she will need support at home during her recovery, including help with daily tasks and meals as she regains her strength.

This fundraiser is dedicated to easing that burden so Pam can focus on what matters most: healing. Your support will help cover medical-related expenses, transportation needs, in-home assistance, and basic necessities during this critical time.

Beyond meeting these immediate needs, we also want to dream a little bigger for Pam. For years, she has faced limitations that kept her from fully enjoying life. As she recovers, we hope to give her the opportunity to experience some of the simple joys she’s had to put on hold—whether that’s taking a road trip, getting out into nature, or spending time with family and friends, we want to help her have some choices.
