Hi friends,

I’m reaching out to invite you into the story of someone incredibly special — "Pamela" "Pam" "Pammy" Gramer!

In March of this year, Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer (at age 28 years young)— something no young woman ever expects to face.

It all began when Pamela noticed a lump and followed her instincts to get it checked. That led to a biopsy, and on March 4th, she received the life-altering news: it was cancer. Just days later, she and her mom, Paula sat with an oncology team, receiving overwhelming information and trying to process what this new chapter would hold. It was an emotional day, filled with tears — but also with compassion and care from the incredible medical team at Gundersen Health, who recognized how young and brave Pamela is. Since March, she’s been walking a hard, courageous road through tests, chemo, and the many emotional and physical challenges that come with treatment.

Through it all, Pamela has met each day with bravery, deep faith, and even joy — even on the hardest days. Recently, she shared this moment with those who are following her journey:

“I just started losing my hair this week which was first met with panic and fear, but once it passed I was ready for it to be gone. I showered, moisturized, combed, and pulled. I also got tired of waiting so the last of it was shaven and razored down. I am feeling free and still just as confident in myself and low key fell in love with the bald head. I already have so many ideas of how I’ll have fun with it. I feel very content and strong-willed today, which is an amazing blessing through the rough months before.”

Pamela is currently in the early stages of chemotherapy and will likely undergo surgery and radiation in the months to come. She’s continuing to work when she can, but treatment days and recovery often keep her from being able to do so. As medical bills and everyday expenses begin to add up, we’re creating this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden and allow her to focus fully on healing.

* Supporting her with living expenses during treatment

* Fertility preservation and other care not fully covered by insurance
