The Moment Your Life Changes Forever :

Gary D. MacClay of Plymouth, Mass., formerly of Philadelphia and Bensalem, Pa., died on his birthday, Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a lifelong battle with diabetes and related health conditions. He was 69.

Gary was the son of Carl William and Edith (Yates) MacClay of Philadelphia.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Brent) MacClay of Plymouth, Mass. and his sons, Jeffrey of Los Angeles, Calif. and Andrew, Matthew and Timothy, all of Plymouth. He also leaves his brother, Ronald MacClay of Newtown, Pa., and his sister, Joyce Thorn of Atlanta, Ga., as well as his aunt, Anna Stroup of Beverly, Mass. and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Gary was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended Temple University. He previously worked for CW Thomas of Philadelphia and was most recently employed as a lead engineer at Design Mark, Inc. of Wareham, Mass.

He was a lifelong musician and enjoyed singing, playing guitar and composing Christian music. While living in Pennsylvania, he sang in the choir at Bensalem United Methodist Church and after his move to Massachusetts, became an avid member of the worship team at The New Testament Church of Cedarville in Plymouth.

Gary's life was an expression of his joy in the Lord that he shared with all who knew him, particularly through his good humor, his music, and his positive outlook. He was a remarkably courageous, gentle and humble warrior, fully leaning on God's strength and grace to carry him through many trials. God's love shone though him as he encouraged so many others to live a victorious life through faith in Jesus. He is now joining all of heaven in singing eternal praises to his Lord and Savior.

Jim and I didn't find out until we were returning from our 35th anniversary trip.

The picture of the family is :

Top Left - Gary MacClay
Bottom Left - Pam MacClay

She is the surviving wife of Gary.

As you can see, we're a close family and proud that all four siblings married and are still following our vows, Until Death Do Us Part.

Through all the struggles and trials that have been a daily hardship, Pam has persevered. With alot of help from her community, family and church.
Now the other shoe drops. Pam has been diagnosed with cancer. We're still trying to get all the specifics but in the mean time Pam's health insurance was dropped due to a swindler, the house may soon be foreclosed. All of us are behind her 100% but we cannot do it alone.

We are setting up this fund to help Pam take care of her current obligations and we'd like to get her back home to Pennsylvania.
