Hi everyone,

My name is Stephanie Wycoff, and I’m writing to share an important update about my mom’s health and to humbly ask for your support during a very difficult time for our family.

After a series of evaluations and tests, we learned that my aunt is unfortunately not a compatible match to be my mom’s stem cell donor. As a result, we are now moving forward with finding an unrelated donor.

In the meantime, her oncologist shared some concerning news: her bone marrow currently shows 17% “blasts,” which are immature cells. If this number reaches 20%, it would indicate a progression to acute leukemia. While this is serious, we are thankful that she hasn’t reached that point yet.

To help slow the progression and manage symptoms like fatigue, nausea, and joint pain, she will begin a 5-day round of chemotherapy this week. These treatments will continue every three weeks until a suitable donor is found. After each round, she will also need to visit her local doctor for lab work and possible transfusions, as the chemo affects her blood counts.

To help ease some of the financial burden, we’re raising funds to cover gas and travel expenses for her weekly hospital visits.
