Hello family, friends, and anyone who knows my momma, Pamela!
As some of you know, she has been through quite the battle this year. Mom was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma bladder cancer in March of this year. She had emergency surgery to remove a tumor that was inside of the bladder, then referred to St. Louis. By June of this year, the tumor had grown back and outside of the bladder wall. So a full bladder removal was performed. Mom would have to live the rest of her life with a urostomy bag. She was determined, as she always has been about anything, to get through this and adjust to a new life with no bladder. And she was DOING IT! Even went back to driving and doing daily things for a couple of weeks But let's fast forward to September. Mom was having some other non-cancer related issues that led to the discovery of new lesions/tumors. The cancer had spread to her rib cage, lungs, pelvic bone and female areas. She has now been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic terminal cancer. The pain from all of this is excruciating for her and leaves her unable to do even simple daily routines.
With all of this being said, mom has not been able to work since June 12th of this year. She used all of her 12 weeks of vacation for the surgery and now her short term disability has ran out as well. We have her enrolled with Medicaid, SSI etc. but are still waiting for approval. At this point she is uninsured and unable to work. So the reality of this GoFundMe is to raise funds for the things she HAS TO HAVE and all of the other things that come.along with this journey. Pain medications, urostomy supplies, medical supplies, gas for appointments and grocery runs, etc.
She has NEVER been one to ask for help but this is causing her worry. So I, as her daughter am going to ask for her. Anything you can donate is appreciated more than you will ever know. We also accept any and all prayers for her condition, peace for her mind and overall for our family.
We love appreciate you all and send prayers right back your way!!!
