Pamela's Ivy League Dream: Help her attend Cornell Law!

Dear friends and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Pamela Forero, and I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my journey with you.
As a Colombian licensed attorney, I've been granted admission to Cornell Law School's prestigious Master of Laws program for the upcoming academic year. Cornell University, a beacon of academic excellence, stands as one of the Ivy League institutions in the United States, boasting a remarkable admission rate of just 10%.
However, the road to realizing this dream is difficult. The total cost of attendance, as per the university's website, is a whopping $111,937 U.S. Dollars. For context, the average annual income in Colombia is a mere $14,568 USD, making it virtually impossible for me to finance my education through traditional means.
The funds I am able to secure will be used to complete the amount of tuition, room, board, books and supplies, and health insurance.
Despite being fortunate enough to secure a COLFUTURO loan/scholarship covering half of the annual expenses, I still do not have enough funds to afford enrolling in the program.
I applied for loans with MPOWER and Prodigy Finance, which are the two only companies that offer loans for non-U.S. citizens and/or residents, and was not approved for both companies.
Because of this, the dream of attending an Ivy League law school quickly faded because my family and I do not have the funds to afford it.
Inspired by the faith of my family and friends who insisted on not giving up yet, I have created this campaign and am reaching out to compassionate friends and family who believe in the transformative power of education.
I have dedicated myself tirelessly to advocating for the rights of women and children who are survivors of rape and other forms of gender and power based violence. Through my legal expertise and passion for justice, I've worked to provide support, representation, and empowerment to those who have suffered unimaginable trauma. Attending Cornell Law School will not only further my education but also amplify the scope of help I can provide to these vulnerable communities. Your contribution will not only support my academic journey but also enable me to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Your support, in whatever form it may come, holds the potential to turn this dream into reality. Whether through a contribution or by simply sharing my story with your network, your gesture of solidarity will resonate deeply with me and my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering joining me on this journey.
With heartfelt gratitude,
