Help Pam maintain her independence
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Pam Dickens. I had a spinal cord injury 18 yrs ago. So I use a manual wheelchair. I have been perseverant to remain independent. I've worked full time, own my home, garden and do fun things with friends. In the RTP and Hillsborough where I live, there is no public transit. So people rely on cars.
My kind daddy bought me an adapted Scion 10 yrs ago with a ramp. My life changed for the better with the ability to independently go where I like- whether it be to the grocery store, to a movie or out to dinner with a friend. I paint watercolors and have been privileged to show my work in the area. Transportation is so critical to live life fully and not be isolated.
My 2010 Scion has been excellent. It’s in the shop again with bad news regarding repair. The hydraulic system for the ramp is damaged.
I'm not going to have transportation. I am single & unfortunately, do not have a second driver.
I am on a fixed income with no living family to assist me.
If you can contribute to my Go Fund Me, this will help me to be able to purchase a used adapted vehicle with a ramp. Once I have an adapted vehicle, I can continue to share my art in the community.
Every donation is greatly appreciated, no matter how small. Thank you
