Pam Kaiser visiting Canada medical emergency

Donation protected
Pamela from the Seattle Washington area was visiting her husband of 12 years in  Nova Scotia, Canada on a six month stay, suspected minor bowel blockage so she had to go into the emergency room on multiple occasions..
This kind woman spent her career in customer service and also operating as  cashier in the Northwestern United States and was successfully convinced that she should go to the hospital in Bridgewater after 2 week of discomfort. From what we researched a person can live 2-4 weeks with a total blockage and she was on week 3.
On her third hospital visit ended up getting a CT scan ,(which surprisingly had to be paid for in Advance ) , then she was immediately prepared for surgery. At this point we suspected that they Wouldn't perform the surgery without payment in advance also, so their was an extreme amount of stress because almost all of our savings were depleted .

The excellent surgeon said he suspected a pressure point closing off the colon. Pam was completely unprepared for such an extreme response for what seemed to be just constipation. She was told that she has a tumor pressing against and/or closing off the colon about 12 inches up the left side.
After an emotional surgery , the Doctor said  there was a  section of colon that needed to be removed, a colostomy bag installed,   As well she has several enlarged lymph nodes in the same area., you probably guessed it, the tumor was in stage 3 cancer.  Sadly her worst thoughts are  now real, even though it seems like this must be a dream - a nightmare.

As the story continues, about all of our  savings were gone in just 4 days and  the surgeon has referred Pam to go to the oncologist in the hospital in the city of Halifax But cant even go for the fist visit with the  $19700 bill outstanding  .  Follow up doctor's visits or  VON nurses visits seem like  a distant impossibility..

Being overly independent, it isn't easy to ask for assistance but this rather unusual situation has left us looking into this rather desperate measure.  We are Very Grateful for any minor monetary assistance.
