On January 28, 1973, a remarkable soul named Palmer Jacobs, affectionately known as Peeej to many, entered this world. Palm, as his friends lovingly called him, had a knack for making his presence felt, and he seemed to have no intention of leaving us anytime soon.
Palm was a walking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) encyclopedia, his passion was evident in every roll and every conversation about it. His dedication to BJJ was inspiring, and his knowledge was unmatched. He embodied the spirit of perseverance and discipline that BJJ instills.
But Palmer's passions didn't stop there. He had a love for heavy metal music and played a mean electric guitar in his earlier years.
Beyond BJJ and music, Palm had a profound respect for animals and a fierce determination to protect them, ensuring they lived a better life. His dedication to animal welfare was unwavering, a testament to his compassionate and kind nature. He understood that every creature, no matter how small, deserved love and care.
On a day when Palm unexpectedly slipped away from us, he did so peacefully and effortlessly, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. It was as if he knew that he had already made an indelible mark on this world—a mark etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
So many of you have asked how you can help, so we are raising funds to assist Palmer’s family in the provision of his funeral. Let us come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable man.
With gratitude and love
