Pallet Enterprises of America Fire Accident

I wanted to start off by saying thank you for reading our story and to ask for a huge favor, if you guys aren’t able to donate please help us by sharing our post.
Pallet Enterprises of America is a family owned and family ran business since 1994. We are three sisters, and a 12 yr. old brother and my two parents. With hard work, dedication, sweat, and tears my parents began to build their business. Many people know my dad, Martin Iñiguez, and know how humble and hard working he is. He is always there to help people when in need and always works hard for everything he has and everything he had he lost in the fire. Our business has been like our home. My two sisters and I grew up there. We loved going and seeing my parents work. They are our admiration. Our yard was our fun place, learning new things each day. When we were finally of age our parents began to teach us about the business. We all began by learning how to drive the forklift and with the years, learned a lot more. My older sister learned how to drive semi trucks when my dad broke his hip and couldn’t drive. My younger sister began taking loads to companies and I began to run the business receiving clients and loading and unloading them. To cut things a bit short Pallet Enterprises of America is our second home and this fire has left us all with nothing.
On March 31st, 2021, we had closed the business at 4:00pm, the usual time. At about 4:40pm we received a phone call saying that it appeared that our business was on fire, our worst nightmare! We all rushed from where we were only to get there and to see everything gone. What my parents created in 27 years was gone in less than 5 minutes. We were received by the WORST cops ever, yelling at us and treating us like garbage making us feel worse than what we were already feeling. We stayed there all night waiting for somebody to tell us something. We have been staying in our car every night after that making sure nobody goes into our property. My parents spoke to the insurance and they told them they won’t be able to cover anything of ours that was burned in the fire, including machinery, trucks, forklifts, tools, cars, and so much more. To make things worse our business was our only source of income for the whole family including my husband. Leaving him without the truck he would go pick up pallets in. This has also left our employee that’s been with us for over 15 years, Eliseo (Cheo), without a job. Cheo is not just an employee, for us he is part of our family and has not left our side since the day of the accident. This leaves all of us in shock, because due to Covid all of our savings are gone. We would GREATLY appreciate any help. Anything would be greatly appreciated by the whole family.

Pallet Enterprises of America es un negocio familiar y administrado por una familia desde 1994. Somos tres hermanas, un hermano menor de 12 años y mis dos padres. Con mucho esfuerzo, dedicación, sudor y lágrimas, mis padres comenzaron a construir su negocio. Mucha gente conoce a mi papá, Martín Iñiguez, y saben lo humilde y trabajador que es. Siempre está ahí para ayudar a las personas cuando lo necesitan y siempre trabaja duro por todo lo que tiene y todo lo que tenía y perdió en el fuego. Nuestro negocio ha sido como nuestro hogar. Mis dos hermanas y yo crecimos allí. Nos encantaba ir y ver trabajar a mis padres. Son nuestra admiración. Nuestro negocio era nuestro lugar de diversión, aprendimos cosas nuevas cada día. Cuando finalmente cumplimos la mayoría de edad, nuestros padres empezaron a enseñarnos sobre el negocio. Todas comenzamos aprendiendo a conducir el montacargas y con los años aprendimos mucho más. Mi hermana mayor aprendió a conducir semirremolques cuando mi padre se rompió la cadera y no podía conducir. Mi hermana menor comenzó a llevar cargas a las empresas y yo comencé a manejar el negocio recibiendo clientes y cargándolos y descargándolos. Para abreviar las cosas, Pallet Enterprises of America es nuestro segundo hogar y este incendio nos ha dejado a todos sin nada.
El 31 de marzo de 2021 habíamos cerrado el negocio a las 4:00 pm, hora habitual. Aproximadamente a las 4:40 pm recibimos una llamada telefónica diciendo que parecía que nuestro negocio estaba en llamas, ¡nuestra peor pesadilla! Todos salimos corriendo de donde estábamos solo para llegar allí y ver que todo se había ido. Lo que mis padres crearon en 27 años desapareció en menos de 5 minutos. Fuimos recibidos por los PEORES policías, gritándonos y tratándonos como basura haciéndonos sentir peor de lo que ya estábamos sintiendo. Nos quedamos toda la noche esperando que alguien nos dijera algo. Nos hemos quedado en nuestro coche todas las noches después de eso, asegurándonos de que nadie entre en nuestra propiedad. Mis padres hablaron con el seguro y les dijeron que no podrían cubrir nada nuestro que se quemó en el incendio, incluyendo maquinaria, camiones, montacargas, herramientas, automóviles y mucho más. Para empeorar las cosas, nuestro negocio era nuestra única fuente de ingresos para toda la familia, incluyendo a mi esposo. Dejándolo sin el camión en el que iba a recoger paletas. Esto también ha dejado a nuestro empleado que lleva más de 15 años con nosotros, Eliseo (Cheo), sin trabajo. Cheo no es solo un empleado, para nosotros es parte de nuestra familia y no se ha apartado de nuestro lado desde el día del accidente. Esto nos deja a todos en estado de shock, porque debido a Covid todos nuestros ahorros se han ido. Agradeceríamos mucho cualquier ayuda. Cualquier cosa será muy apreciada por toda la familia.
