Hey there, this is Jesse Markowitz. I am a producer and promoter, born in Toronto, Canada and living in New York City. I have curated a Wayne Shorter repertory project called Palladium since 2018, as an act of devotion to my hero and friend Wayne Shorter. In that time I have produced around 30 concerts and made 2 albums under the Palladium name, showcasing Wayne's music played by a carousel of my favorite musicians.
On March 3rd at Roulette in Brooklyn I will be producing the biggest Palladium concert to date and making a live recording. I have an all-star cast of musicians who will bring a unique alchemy to this music...
Alex Hargreaves - Violin
Anh Phung - Flute
TBA - Pedal Steel, Guitar
Mathis Picard - Piano, Keyboards
Dezron Douglas - Bass
Kyle Poole - Drums, Programming
Martina DaSilva - Vocals

I am mostly very excited, and little bit terrified, and definitely very curious about how it all will be; in short, it's a mix of jazz, jazz-fusion, country, bluegrass and EDM.
The album will be put out by the emerging Big Shoulders Records; the label run by Kurt Elling and Bryan Farina who are longtime supporters of mine.
My general goal since I joined the Wayne Shorter team in 2015 has been for Wayne to be seen as this generation's Mozart; for his music to be played on by bands millenia from now. When human beings turn into something so vastly out of our current range of comprehension, Wayne's music will be the thing that reminds these future amoeba of what it was like to be around humanity in the 20th and 21st centuries.
There are numerous different sources of funding for this; some private donors, as much of my own money I can put in, ticket sales to the show, and the rest is where you come in.
Friends near and far, I am asking for your help in completing this project. Any level of donation buys my eternal gratitude and your name in the liner notes. We can also certainly talk about your name being listed as executive producer, letting all eternity know that you are a great patron of the arts.
