Palihog and Salamat please and thank you from Chris Chan Padasas
The photo collage says "please" and "thank you."
"Palihog" and "Salamat” in Ilonggo.
It is hard to admit these times are bittersweet. If I can get some help to knock out my medical debt of $1500 due at the end of October, then I can focus on getting back to working at my jobs without this bitter debt. Every donation will help me get back to making sweet memories with my family, enjoying my beautiful country through photography and bicycling. Palihog (please) and Salamat (thank you) for reading and sharing my story.
The proverb (hueobatons) in English says, "The bitterness of the ampalaya is sweet to those who like it." In Aklanon, "Rong kapait it maragoso, mananam sa kauyon."
Honestly first I have to say thank you "Salamat” to my sweet friends and family who have asked to share my story. I have been more bitter with the last year of health problems and the medical bills. I am ready to get back to making life sweet again and spending time with my family and at work. Since getting out of the hospital in July, I have been working to survive now so I can make life sweet for my mom and all of my friends who have helped me already. I can speak Ilonggo, Aklanon, Tagalog, English, and basic Bisaya. That is five languages, but the hardest thing to say is, "help."
