Founded in 1992 by Mike and Deb, our focus was helping people learn more about how to fully experience and appreciate wine, spirits and sake from all around the world. We wanted to make education that was often only offered on the coasts and in major cities available in our favorite city, Pittsburgh.
Palate Partners has been providing Pittsburgh with wine and spirits education for over 25 years now. Never a money maker, this school has always been about passion, not profits. In fact, we’ve always relied on support from our sister companies to keep the school running.
Well, Due to the covid-19 pandemic our sister companies have been closed for the time being. With restaurants and events shut down, our source of revenue for those companies has completely stopped, and we are in danger of losing our beloved school… but with your help we know our very special school and small business can overcome this obstacle.
We’re asking for $20,000 this summer to help us stay a float, sanitize our space, and support our amazing employees.
We’ve been helping educate Pittsburgh for twenty-eight years, please, help us through this hard time so we can keep doing this for twenty-eight more!
If raised, this money will be used for:
- Deep cleaning and updating our space to meet the highest sanitation standards.
This includes fully sanitizing the entire school, shop, and kitchen, removing and replacing the carpet that we know you’ll all agree needs to go, and more.
- Providing masks, gloves, and soaps for our employees and students.
When we open our doors we want it to be safe and comfortable for everyone.
- Helping supplement our employees salaries.
