Dear Patron:

The Hamburg Palace Theatre was built by George J. Biehler and opened on January 14, 1926. Since that time,  tens of thousands of families have enjoyed coming to the Theatre for movies, birthday parties and other special events.

Recently, the Hamburg Palace Theatre was awarded a New York State Grant in the amount of $300,000.00, which would be used to renovate the concession stand, add wheelchair accessible bathrooms, repair the roof and upgrade the HVAC system. In order to accept the grant, the Theatre is required to pay for all renovations upfront with $225,000.00 reimbursable after renovations have been completed. The Theatre is required to pay for at least $75,000.00 of those renovations. If costs exceed the amount of the grant, the Theatre is responsible for those costs.

The grant money will likely not cover the costs associated with upgrading seats, which is something we would very much like to do in the future. If donations are made above and beyond the amount needed for the first phase of renovations, the difference will be saved for future use (seats, etc.).

Please consider donating to the Theatre so that renovations can be completed. We hope to serve you the best popcorn in town for many years to come!

Thank you in advance for your contribution. We appreciate
your generosity.

The Hamburg Palace Family

*For those wishing to make a larger donation ($1,000 or more), donors will be given the option to have a nameplate inscribed with their business name, family members names, etc. The nameplates will be attached to each row of seats once renovations have been completed. This is an opportunity for you to leave your mark at the Hamburg Palace Theatre while also providing funding to be used for improvements. If interested, please comment on our page or visit us in person.
