Pakistani Church

My name is Micah. For years I have been close friends with a brother in Christ in Pakistan named Asif Salamat. Time and time again he has proven his love for the Lord through his words and actions. I have spoken and talked with his community on multiple occasions, and their passion for God's Word and love for their fellow man exceedes anyone I've ever met. Yesterday, the churches in their community were attacked by Muslims within their community. Within their town, six churches were destroyed, countless Bibles were burned, 25 families were left homeless, and an expected eight members of their community were left dead with even more injured. Asif would like to raise money so that none of his brothers and sisters in Christ have to live on the street and I will do anything I can to help them. Matthew 5:10 says Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

They have lived this verse and even now, have not lost faith in their Jesus. Their commitment inspires me, and yet, they are left broken hearted at the loss of their brothers and sisters in Christ. If you are able, please consider giving to my friends. There is no greater cause than this.
