Pakistan Flood Relief Fundraiser

Update:

My name is Meera Ghani I've worked on climate justice for the past 20 years. Have provided support and started relief efforts for many disaster-related emergencies during that time. But there is nothing I've seen in terms of the scale of devastation that Pakistan witnessed in the summer of 2022. Pakistan is on the frontline of climate impacts. And the floods that started in late June are still causing havoc, rendering 1/3 of Pakistan underwater, a climate disaster. I’m raising funds for local organizations and citizens volunteering in regions they belong to.

I am reactivating this fundraiser as Pakistan especially as KPKm Gilgit-Baltistan and parts of Punjab have been severely impacted by devastating floods this year again. Displacing thousands of people and communities that were already marginalised and are struggling to survive.

Many are houseless, and require medical assistance, food and cash transfers to be able to manage. I’d appreciate it if you could share the link in your networks. Things are getting quite dire for many of the families we are supporting. Thank you!

Here's the google sheet (linked) with the list of recipients from the years prior and the amounts received. We thank you for your support again. We managed to raise euros 12,000 together. I'd like us to raise at least euros 10,000 more for this years impacted community.

This year the funds collected will go to two trusted organisations/organisers working in the KPK and Punjab regions. The Nasreen Dad Trust and the Climate Flood Relief Campaign with Dr. Alia Haider.
