Paisley’s Cochlear Implant

Paisley was born with an aggressive Brain Tumor that was thought to be Rhabdomyosarcoma(rare soft tissue cancer). Her parents didn’t find out until she was 3 months old when symptoms she was born with weren’t getting better.

Being Christians and having many friends and family also believing in the power of prayer, they turned to God, and people all over the country were praying for Paisley.

By the Grace of God, Paisley was completely healed in 3 days from her diagnosis! Everyone was so amazed! The Doctors were speechless and had no explanation. But God!!

Unfortunately, the tumor was so aggressive that it ate through her mastoid bone, ate away at her hearing bones, hearing nerve and deteriorated her skull leaving her profoundly deaf and with a speech delay.

Due to the fact that she has conductive and sensorineural hearing loss, reconstructive surgery would not benefit, hearing aids, CROS system have all failed.

The last option, that the Drs are very hopeful it will work, is getting a cochlear implant.
Unfortunately their insurance has denied paying for it and they are left to pay out of pocket for the surgery. The hospital told them last year it would be $51,000 for device and surgery.  Today, they found out that the out of pocket       cost will be $94,000 . The hospital will pay for 49% leaving them with the responsibility of     over $47,000.
