Lisa and I are both experiencing many financial obstacles and we are in need of help. We both are out of work right now. Lisa has been out of work for over a year due to medical reasons, and I have been out for more than three months because of medical reasons – and our medical bills are piling up.
In 2017, Lisa was diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncope which caused her to unexpectedly pass out. Because she didn’t have any warning signs, she didn’t have a chance to fall safely. Now her back is severely damaged which causes her great pain. She just had surgery to implant a nerve stimulator which will help greatly with the pain.
I have had several health issues too. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This has caused complications for me. A month ago, I had surgery, but it didn’t heal properly, so I had other surgery. One of the downsides to rheumatoid arthritis is I have a hard time healing properly. Recently, I tore my meniscus trying to move quickly.
Because these medial issues, I am on disability. To keep my benefits, I must pay for them. Once I back at work, the company will pay. I simply cannot lose my benefits. If I do, I will not be able to get the help for my knee along with Lisa's procedure for her back.
In the midst of all this, we had to put Paisley down. This was very devastating to us both because dogs are like family as many of my animal loving friends know. We are now faced with bills for the veterinarian visits.
Asking for help is difficult and embarrassing, however it's time to put our pride aside, humble ourselves and ask for some help. If you cannot help financially, please keep us in your thoughts/prayers as this difficult time passes. We thank you in advance for your help in any way possible.
