Paisley needs help beating Parvo
Donation protected
I am devastated to say that our youngest pup, Paisley was diagnosed with Parvovirus today. She is only a year old. We got her right after we lost our Bear who was 14 years old. Paisley was my savior in that dark time. Just Saturday she became lethargic and stopped eating and drinking. We thought maybe it was too many treats. So we stopped giving her them. Then out of nowhere on Monday night she started vomiting and there was blood in her stool. We immediately ran to the vet on Tuesday only to get the worst news ever. Our baby is fighting for her life. Unfortunately, vets aren't like human hospitals and can refuse to treat an animal without money (even tho we had some but not all). We had two options. To do aggressive inpatient treatment with a 90% success rate and DOWN payment is $3,500! No payment arrangements The total could cost up to $5,000 when it is all said and done. Outpatient treatment only has a 50% success rate due to the possibility of sepsis and many other complications involving their bone marrow. We have no choice at the moment but to bring Paisley home. We are praying to raise enough money that should things take the worse turn, like the Doctor believes it will, that by that time we will have raised enough to pay them to save a life. For the record we are not anti-vaxers. With life stressers, CO-VID and then more distractions once things opened back up, we just forgot about making an appointment. Any help would be appreciated. Even if we cannot do inpatient I am sure this won't be the last time we have to take her to the vet for this.
