Paislee’s life saving heart surgery

Donation protected
I found out when I was 12 weeks pregnant that my baby girl has trisomy 18 also known as Edwards syndrome. This happens 1 in 2000 pregnancies and only 1 in 6000 make it to birth. Out of those only 10% make it to their first birthday. I was strongly pushed to terminate my baby girl. Paislee was born and came home at 3 weeks on hospice. It’s extremely hard to find doctors that will treat these babies. Paislee has 2 holes in her heart. UCLA told me originally they would treat her but recently said she was not a candidate. When they denied her heart repair I decided to consult with other trisomy friendly hospitals because I refused to accept no for an answer. I received no after no until yesterday! Boston Children’s Hospital accepted Paislee’s case and feels they can repair her heart ❤️ Our family is so happy. Paislee and I will be headed to Boston as soon as they have the insurance approval. This comes with a lot of unplanned expenses as well as having no clue how long we will be in Boston. Paislee’s surgery is open heart surgery. Any money raised will go to help with medical expenses, travel expenses, home bills and anything unexpected that may arise while the family focuses on little Paislee. Thank you and God bless!
