Painted Flower Fire Fund
I have been the florist at Green Park Station for over 17 years, working in the general market and then moving into my hut, where I have traded for over ten years.
A few weeks back a massive fire effected the heart of our market, effecting all small independent business's.
Due to the tragedy of the fire, I am unable to work and trade as usual because of the extensive damage to the infrastructure of the market and safety, because of the smoke and water damage to my hut and stock.
Over the last three years, there has been Brexit, Covid and extensive completion work to the market as it is a grade two listed building - which has constantly effected my working abilities to trade on a daily basis. Now I am in the position where I cannot go to work and have no answers to when I will be open, or able to work and trade again. ( could be minimum 6 months - up to a year)
As a florist, this has effected my ability to showcase The Painted Flower, my shop front, the visual aspect of my company which attracts my sole trade - weddings, funerals and coperate work, also just being a point of call for any potential customers and my weekly trade.
This is my only income, I have spent the past 17 years building my business and being apart of the community of Green Park Station. My goal is to cover some of my stock damage, loss of earnings and to be able to trade as soon as possible. As my hut is wooden, insurance policy will not cover certain damages which has left me in a vulnerable situation.
Thank you for all the lovely messages and support I have received so far. Any support would be greatly appreciated
