Paint the BSRR building
Donation protected
The Belmont Shore Model Railroad Club (BSRR) was started in 1971 and built layouts in Signal Hill and Bell before moving into the old Ft McArthur Army base, now owned by the LA Recreation and Parks department. Over the years, we have built a 2000 sq. ft. display representing Southern California. An overview can be viewed at A Tour of the Belmont Shore Model Railroad Club – YouTube
Since our building was built in the late 1930s, it needs some improvements which are beyond the ability of the parks department. As part of our use agreement, BSRR intends to have the building painted. Unfortunately, that requires the removal of the existing lead-based paint. To fund that effort, we are looking for help from our friends. Although we are a non-profit organization, we do not qualify as a charity, so we have to rely on donations from individuals and cannot get large companies to sponsor this effort. Please help us with our project; we need your support.
