Paint a Mural on Maple Hill's Frankenstein Box!
Donation protected
Help us hire a professional artist to paint a mural on this monstrosity!
For years, the entryway to our neighborhood has been home to this massive, green Xcel box. It's the first thing you see when you enter the neighborhood at Turnberry and Country Club road in Fort Collins, CO.
Xcel has generously given us permission to utilize the City of Fort Collins Art in Public Places program to get this done - the cost quoted for a professional artist to paint a mural this particular box and give it a protective coating will be $3,046.
As part of the same project, the traffic cabinet that controls the traffic light at the same intersection (Turnberry and Country Club road) can also be painted with a mural for $1,445, it's the silver box pictured here (the green monstrosity is on the left).

Once we reach the required funding for one or both projects, we donate the funds to the City's Art in Public Places program and then begin the artist selection process (the City provides the professional artists to do concepts).
Any money raised over the amount required for our project will be gifted to the City's Art in Public Places program to help fund other art projects around Fort Collins.
