I am Samantha and I am trying to raise money to fund Lilly’s surgery. Lilly hobbled up to my house in the middle of the night last week. I took her to the ER to get scanned for a microchip but she didn’t have one. I had them see her so that she could get some medicine to help control her pain.
I have taken her to my vet and got her seen there for a full work up to determine the extent of her injuries. She was thought to have been hit by a vehicle some months ago and her injuries were neglected. She has numerous fractures of the back legs and pelvis that healed over (incorrectly) but her main issue is her right femur. The femoral neck is fractured and she will need an ostectomy of the femoral head in order to get her out of pain and regain some use of that leg.
Someone wanted to help with her surgery and another individual suggested setting up a go fund me to help out. It has worked out to where we will be able to keep her and having help with her much needed surgery will definitely be appreciated. Currently, my husband is the only one working. I will figure out whatever I need to in order to get her help.
Lilly is around 2 years give or take a few months. Living in pain has been what she has known for far too long. Any help is greatly appreciated. Monies raised will be paid to Magnolia Veterinary Surgery in Tupelo, MS. She is on the schedule for Thursday, May 13 at 9 am. Estimate per Magnolia Veterinary Surgery was $1500-$1800
