Paige’s struggle… Oops I did it again!

Hey all! Paige here. If you've known me for any length of time, then you know that I have the coordination of a baby deer. Years back, I broke my ankle, which required 4 surgeries and a 5th for the implanting of a spinal cord stimulator to help with the severe nerve damage I was left with. Well, I've gone and done it again. I fell down the outside stairs and got my foot caught in the railing on the way down, rupturing my interosseous ligament that holds my tibia and fibula together. It's kind of important because without it, my leg bones separate and slide down the sides of my ankle bones every time I take a step. Eww. I know.
Anyway, I was told on a Wednesday that I was having surgery that Friday. I had 1 day to get my affairs in order and absolutely no time to set aside funds for everyday bills, etc. I've been on leave from work for almost 6 weeks now, and I still have another 6 weeks until I find out when I can go back. Since I haven't been at my job for a year yet, I have no benefits, FMLA, etc. I've exhausted all my resources, cashed in my change, sold everything of value, and maxed out all my credit cards. I currently have $0.71 in my checking account and $2.45 in my savings. I've hit rock bottom. I don't know what to do or where to go from here, so here I am. The embarrassment I'm feeling can't even be put into words.
Unfortunately, I've gotten to where I need help with the bills, groceries, meds, and gas. This is where you all come in. As much as I hate to ask, can any of you help our family out until I can get back to work? Any bit helps. We get that all of you are trying to take care of your families too. We are normally really good at managing our money, but right now there's nothing to manage. We could really use some help. I don't know what else to say. We're drowning.
