Hi, my name is Phalynn Meeds, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Paige Quezada, and her family.
At just 30 weeks pregnant, Paige received the devastating news that she has cancer, which has already spread to her liver. What was meant to be a routine prenatal checkup quickly turned into a life-altering moment for their entire family.
Today, Baby Sam was delivered by emergency in order to protect his health and allow Paige to begin cancer treatment as soon as she heals from delivery. He will remain in the NICU for approximately seven weeks, receiving the specialized care he needs to grow strong enough to come home.
Paige and her husband, Hugo, are pillars in their Craig, Colorado community. Every week, they help run the local food bank and serve through Love INC, with Paige also serving as the Resource Outreach Assistant. She is the Praise and Worship Leader at Church of Destiny, and her compassion touches everyone she meets.
Now, this incredible family needs our support.
We are setting a fundraising goal of $50,000 to help cover:
Household bills (rent, electricity, energy)
Travel and lodging expenses in Denver
Fuel costs between Craig and Denver
Items to support their children while their parents are away
House cleaning assistance during treatment and recovery
Other unforeseen medical and living expenses during Paige’s treatment and Baby Sam’s NICU stay
Hugo will be by Paige’s side through her chemo and radiation treatments and hopes to return to work when time and circumstances allow. In the meantime, our immediate family will help care for their children in Craig.
This GoFundMe is the most effective way to help ease the financial stress and allow the Quezada family to focus on healing, staying strong, and being together.
We are deeply thankful for the prayers, love, and support that have already poured in. Please continue to pray for peace, strength, and healing—and if you’re able, contribute what you can to help this beautiful family through this unimaginable time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Phalynn Meeds
