Hi to you all. First of all, thank you for loving me enough to read through this, but here goes nothing-
God, the Wipe Every Tear organization, and my family have made it possible for a very important door to have been opened in my life. I have peaked behind this door for much time and have dealt with the door being closed on me other times but finally it has swung open wide:
In December, my heart takes on the Philippines to minister to women trapped in sexual trafficking.
I am excited. I am scared. But I feel called to go and love wherever love is needed. The sex trade constantly is present in my prayers.
My heart houses a deep love and attachment to these amazing girls I have never even met as I've grown up in a family that was well-off and filled with unconditional love. From Milwaukee to the Philippines each woman affected by the sex trade deserves a new life rooted in the love of Christ.
It is necessary I take this leap and step out of my comfort zone for the three weeks of this mission because it is on my heart to do so.
Together, my team and I will have many opportunities to bless and hopefully rescue those women and young girls working in bars, massage parlors, and the streets of the Red Light District in Manila, Philippines. These beautiful human beings are trapped behind invisible bars, unable to have shelter, feed their family, or find love any other way. They are brainwashed into thinking they are worthless, when in reality they have an unbelievably bright future.
I am hoping to go with a strong heart and touch but one in aiding the chains around each heart to be broken.
//For the first time in my ENTIRE life I am asking for help. The Philippines is expensive, life is unexpected, but all in all I have found that people are generous and love to give. If you cannot give a single penny I promise I will still love you wholeheartedly, but promise me back that you will give me your prayers, encouragements, and energy. //
God is good, my family is supportive, and there is no doubt in my mind that the trip will pull at my heartstrings.
