On June 2, 2019, 17-year old Paige Winter was swimming in waist-deep water with family as the unthinkable happened. A shark pulled her under the water, causing severe damage to her hands and leg. Her father, Charlie Winter, a paramedic in coastal North Carolina, managed to pull Paige out of the water and punch the shark until it let her go. 

Paige's story made national news, not only because of the harrowing event that had occurred, but because her positive attitude and outlook on the future inspired millions. 


My mother and I are a few people that have been so inspired by her story, we wanted to help her light to continue to shine as she journeys on to the next step of her life - Cosmetology School! 

This fundraising goal will help Paige with tuition, supplies, and living costs.
