Hello!

My name is Ainsley, I’m a recently graduated 18 year old who is lucky enough to be the daughter of my beautiful mom Paige. My mom is the most caring, selfless and brave person I know. In the early summer time my mother was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. For those who don’t know what it is, ulcerative colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine. It has made some very drastic changes in my moms every day life and has put her in a great deal of pain. Although she’s been put on several medications, there’s not much you can do for the illness other than potential surgery. The illness has its ups and downs but it has very recently flared up and gotten quite bad. My mom has been in and out of the hospital very frequently and just got back from being there for a week. She’s awaiting the decision of doctors to do the surgery or not. Getting the surgery would mean a very long and extremely hard recovery. Regardless of if she gets this surgery she’s been told she must take at least a month off work because she is too sick to be working, and If she gets the surgery that could mean another 1-3 months of recovery. My mom is such a hard working woman and the last thing I want is for her to have to worry about money while she’s dealing with the extreme pain and inconveniences this condition is causing her. She has already used up all her sick days and vacation days for doctors appointments, hospital visits and tests. I hate to see her so worried about missing work for something she cannot control, and does not deserve by any means. She deserves to be able to properly rest and relax while going through this very hard time. I figured creating this Go fund me was worth a shot, so if you have a few dollars to spare it would mean the absolute world to myself and my family if you would be willing to donate. Anything helps!
