Help David Come Home
Donation protected
On December 24 2021, (Christmas Eve) David Critchfield suffered a fall due to acute Anemia. In the fall his neck was broken and damage was done to his spine.
Currently David is paraplegic and has no feeling below his chest.
David is currently being treated at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh (no visitors are allowed due to Hospital covid-19 protocols)
David wants to be able to come home to his house and family, but his 150 year old house is not currently suited to the pressures that would be required to support a 300-400 lbs wheelchair as well as a hospital bed, lift and other such equipment as will be needed for his care and comfort, as his medical status currently stands.
David and his wife Judy are currently unemployed due to illnesses, injury, and the status of Judy's 95 years old mother who lives with them.
This fund is to help modify David's home so that it can support him.
Among the changes and modifications that will be necessary are (but not limited to):
°Widening of doorways to accommodate wheelchair / equipment.
° The strengthening, if not replacement of the floorboards of at least 2-4 rooms of his house, (Back entry aka Pantry, Living Room, Bathroom, and Dinning room which will be serving as a Bedroom)
° Modification of bathroom to accommodate needs
If there is any money left over or we exceed our goal, all monies collected will be used to either further improve the house or will be used for other needs for David.
Thank you and May God Bless.
