Hi, my name is Sian and I am helping my mum raise money for a cockerpoo puppy called penny- who was rescued days ago, and has been living under a caravan.
Penny is around 5 months old, and has sustained an injury weeks or even months ago. It is believed to of come from a person, but we can’t be sure how. Today this adorable girl was taken to the animal trust in Shrewsbury, where she was examined. The outcome wasn’t great, and the vet believe it to be an injury with the elbow/joint, which has now healed wrong, and although she can walk, she is permanently limping and likely in pain every day. The X-ray needed is £450 alone, then over 2.5K for an attempt at saving her leg.. but the vet is not sure yet if it will take. Other option is amputation. Of course, we want to try to operate and fix it first, and see how it goes. As you can imagine, this is a huge financial cost, but there’s no other option! We won’t have her suffer or be put down over a poorly leg that she did not deserve as a vulnerable pup.
In less than a week Penny has become a beloved member of the family. She has settled in so well and is incredibly well behaved and playful. The vet also commented on her nature! The photos I have here are of her curled up like baby in my arms, snoring! ♥️
Please, if you can spare anything at all, help us raise the funds. We are enquiring into charities, but these are tough to qualify for. Thanks for reading!
