Seven – A Sinful New Musical is an original, contemporary musical that explores the Seven Deadly Sins in a funny, heartfelt, and unexpectedly hopeful way.

Set between Hell and the modern world, Seven follows Envy, one of the Seven Deadly Sins, who is given an impossible challenge: help a struggling human, a 'lost soul' change their mindset, not through punishment, but through kindness, growth, and self-belief. If Envy succeeds, she earns redemption, ascension to heaven If she fails… Hell wins. And she will be forever cast into Eternal Damnation.

What unfolds is a sharp, character-driven musical comedy about comparison, ambition, loneliness, and the quiet pressure to feel like we’re never enough, themes that feel more relevant now than ever.

This show has been a full year in the making. It’s been written, rewritten, shared with small, select group of people and the first draft is officially complete. Seven is now ready for its next crucial step: moving from the page to the stage. And is ready to head into the first stage of the development process.

Why we are Asking for Support:

Developing new musical theatre is expensive, especially without major backing. Your support will go directly toward:

Music development & rehearsal materials, including recording official demos and eventually a complete concept album.

Paying actors, musicians, and creatives fairly for their time and effort.

Workshops, rehearsal spaces and venue costs.

Professional script and score printing and publishling, including pitch materials.

Filming and documentation to help the show reach producers and theatres.

Helping us to pay the annual admission fee to Mercury Musical Developments. They will help to put us in touch with industry professionals such as producers and stage a section of the show in their annual showcase at the end of the year.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps give this show a real chance at life beyond the writing desk. And gives us a chance to final do something we have always loved and had a passion for... Create for the stage.

Why This Show Matters:

At its core, Seven isn’t about Hell, it’s about being human.

It’s about comparison culture, burnout, shame, self-worth, and the small wins that don’t look impressive from the outside but mean everything on the inside. It’s funny, it’s sharp, and it’s hopeful and it believes that growth is messy, non-linear, and still worth celebrating.

New musicals don’t exist unless people believe in them early. If you’re supporting this project, you’re not just donating, you’re becoming part of its origin story.

Thank You!

Whether you donate, share, or simply read this, thank you for supporting new theatre, new voices, and new stories.
